Adaptation of the Global Motivation Scale (GMS-28) in Indonesian Version

Motivation is one of the important variables for study, whereas many motivational studies have been conducted to predict learning, performance, and behavior change. The scale that has gone through psychometric testing required in research accurately describe construct. There still low availability Indonesia passed testing. Therefore, this study aims adapt Global Scale (GMS-28) into Indonesian. adaptation process refers guidelines by International Test Commission, where also involves Data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire on 383 participants aged 18-25 years. test internal consistency reliability validity based structure. revealed all acceptable coefficients aspects with a range = 0.703 – 0.810. Item analysis pointed items good item-total correlation item mean. Findings from First-order Confirmatory Factor Analysis showed model fit significantly measures GMS-28. Based these results, it can be concluded Indonesian version GMS-28 suitable use further studies. However, needs done larger sample used populations.
